This collection of his experience as a forty-year traveler in Italy was published in 1909 in London by William Heineman.
Henry James (1843–1916), who was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911, 1912 and 1916, was american but he spent the most of his career in Britain. He is still one of the most important writers of the 19th-century.
